Winter Morning Routine

As I have recently done a ‘Winter Night-Time Routine’ I thought it was only right to do a morning routine as well. In winter I never want to leave my bed so I will stay in bed for as long as I can. Therefore you will find out I do multiple things at the same time in the morning haha. None the less I hope you enjoy reading my morning routine in winter.

As soon as my alarm goes off in the morning I automatically put it on snooze. I will then have another 15 minutes in bed before I finally decide to get up. Once I’m up the first thing I do is head to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. This is the point in the morning when I will make my breakfast. Normally I want something quick and easy so ill either have cereal or toast. To save time in a morning I will take my breakfast to my room and eat it while I’m doing my make up. I don’t take too long to do my make up, whenever I do my everyday make up it will normally take me out 15 minutes. I will then do my hair, normally I’m going to work so I’ll either put it up in a ponytail or a bun, whichever I feel like on the day. Afterwards I will put my jewellery on, day-to-day I wear my earrings, a necklace, a ring and my apple watch. Finally I will get changed and put some perfume on. I am currently loving my Jimmy Choo perfume. I will then put my shoes on and get my bag together before heading out the door for the day ahead.

Winter Night-Time Routine

As it is winter and we are in the older months of the year I always spend a little more time in the evenings before I go to bed. Normally I have work or I’m out doing something and always get home at different times. However, this is what I like to do when I get home whatever time it being. I hope you enjoy reading what I get up to in the evenings of the colder months.

Dinner:                                                                                                                                                 I have found myself to be quite busy these days. Either I will be working, doing a client’s hair or out with my friends. Therefore I don’t get to spend a lot of time at home with my family, and when I am home I love to have a catch up with them. So as soon as I get home from my busy day I will sit down with my family and have a catch up of what I have been doing during the day. This is normally while my mum is getting my dinner ready for me. I am ever to grateful that my mum still cooks for me otherwise I will probably be always getting a takeaway most days. Once my dinner is ready I will sit at the table and eat it while I’m still having a good old natter with my mum.

Shower:                                                                                                                                                 Once I’ve finished my dinner I will quickly jump in the shower (and wash my hair if I need too). I will also take my make up off while I’m in the shower. When I feel all fresh and clean I will jump out, dry off and moisturise my body. This is a step I nearly always forget but I am getting better at it. Before heading out of the bathroom I will quickly brush my teeth. When I go to my room the first thing I do is make it all cosy. I will put my fairy lights on, light a candle and close the curtains. I will then continue my skincare routine of applying my moisturiser, eye cream, spot cream and lip balm.

Bed:                                                                                                                                                 At this point I’m getting tired and ready for bed. Therefore I will get into my pyjamas and curl up into bed. Normally I do like to catch up on my social media and watch a bit of Netflix before I go to sleep. I am currently watching the final season of Peaky Blinders and I’m really enjoying it! The last thing I will do before going to sleep is to set my alarm ready for the next day ahead.

Pamper Routine 2018

I thought I would share with you my pamper routine. I tend to do this once a week, in the evenings. I think having a bath always makes an evening so much more relaxing. Therefore, I am going to start off my running a lovely bubble bath and popping in a bath bomb. Lush have some really nice bath bombs and I love using their product’s when I want a really relaxing evening. Once I’m in the bath if I need to wash my hair I will do if not then I won’t. Currently, I have been loving using the Aussie Mega Shampoo and the Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner on my hair. I will then continue to wash myself and shave my legs. Once I am out of the bath I will start my washing my face and then applying a face mask. And I am currently using the Botanic’s All Bright Cleansing Foam Wash, to wash my face, and the Acne Purifying pell-off Black Mask, on my nose as a mask. Then if my skin feels a bit dry I will use a moisturising face mask afterwards. Finally, I will finish off my face by just applying my normal day-to-day moisturiser, eye cream, spot cream and lip balm. I will then move onto tinting and shaping my eyebrows as well as paint my nails. Finally, I will continue to relax during the evening. And that is what I do as my pamper routine. I hope you enjoyed! Skincare Routine 2018

I thought today I would share with you my updated skincare routine, as it has changed recently. Some products I am still trying out , but I wanted to share with you my favourite go-to product’s and ones I can’t live without. Also check out my youtube channel – hannahxoxoblog. I hope you enjoy!

Make Up Remover:
Day-to-day when I take my make up off at the end of the day I will use my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I will pop some on a cotton pad and remove my make up, I don’t find it irritates my eyes like most make up removers do. I will then just cleanse and wash my face. It is definitely a must have product. Somedays when I’m not wearing as much make up only minimal I will remove my make up with some Simple make up wipes. Again, I don’t find they irritate my eyes at all and they are super gentle on my skin. When I am wearing lots of make up I will double cleanse my skin. I will start off my applying the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser to my face, breaking down all the make up, then taking a warm flannel and wiping away all my make up. To make sure my face is 100% clean I will just go over my face with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water on a cotton pad.

Cleanser:
I do also use the Liz Earle Cleans & Polish as a cleanser as well. Day-to-day though I have recently been enjoying my Garnier Micellar Gel Wash just as a cleanser to wash my face. This product isn’t a must-have product but I do enjoy using it daily. I have been trying out a new face wash which is the Botanical All Bright Cleansing Foam Wash. I have only used this once so far but I did like it and will definitely continue to use it. I have heard good things for this brand as well.

Exfoliator and Face Mask’s:
These two I can’t find products that are perfect for my skin. Therefore, I haven’t got any must-have products for this category. I have recently bought this Botanical All Bright Purifying Face Scrub. I haven’t used this product as of yet but again I have heard good things about this brand and I love trying out new brand and products. I tend to exfoliate my skin 1-2 times a week depending on my skin and I like to use a face mask once a week, maybe even once every two weeks again depending on how my skin is. I like to use nourishing, moisturising face masks on my skin. I am currently trying out some sample I have which are from Garnier. I love to use sheet masks as well I find they work brilliantly on my skin, especially the Sephora sheet masks. When I feel my skin has a lot of blackheads and spotty I like to use my Black Peel Off Mask. A lot of people like to use these and I find they really dry out and spots I have and helps to get rid of any blackheads. I just got mine from Amazon as well.

Moisturiser’s, Eye Cream, Etc.:
There is one moisturiser I live by and I can’t live without which is the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturiser. I find it is lightweight and thin on my skin but still very moisturising on my skin. I 100% recommend. For eye cream I can’t find one I really love. I am currently using the Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment, I do really like it but I don’t find it’s a must have for me. I do definitely want to try out the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye Cream though as I have heard a lot of good things about it. I am also currently using a sample of the Aveda Botanicals Kinetics Energizing Eye Cream again I do really like it but not a must-have for me unfortunately. A spot cream that live by and that is a must-have is the La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo. It helps to bring any spots to the surface, reduce any redness and the size of the spot, and it also stops the spot leaving a mark on your skin. For my lips I will use a lip scrub when I cleanse my face, the lip scrub which I have been loving is the Lush Santa Baby Lip Scrub. It leaves my skin super soft and gets rid of any dryness on my lips. Before I go to bed I will also apply the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream to my lips as I find it really helps to moisturise my lips. The last and final product I am going to mention is Tea Tree Oil. An absolute must-have for me, anytime I have a really big spot I will put this on it and it really helps to reduce it.

Morning Routine

My morning routine doesn’t really change a lot when I have work, however if it is my day off I don’t really have a routine. Therefore, this will be my morning routine on a day-to-day basis when I have work.

Time to get up:
Once I wake up I will just automatically go on my phone and browse on social media, just a habit. I don’t normally find it that hard to get up in a morning as weird and strange as it is. I would much rather wake up early and get lots of things done in a day then have a lay in and hardly do anything. When its time for me to get up I will go to the bathroom and brush my teeth.

Make-up:
I don’t normally do much skincare in the morning since all I do at night is sleep and my skin doesn’t get really dirty. All I do is apply my Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser and my eye cream. At the moment I have been using the Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream I do like it but I wouldn’t say I love it or hate it. Then, I will continue with my everyday make up, this normally takes me about 15 minutes to do which I love as its so quick and easy. I always love going for the natural make up look for a day-to-day basis, I have done a blog post on my everyday make up routine if you would like to have a browse on what products I use.

Hair:
I wash my hair every other day since that’s when it needs washing. I do wash my hair at night as I don’t have time to dry it in the mornings. If I find my hair needs straightening then I will, if not I will just style as normal (which is normally half up half down ponytail). I do keep it quite simple as thats the way I like to do my hair on a day-to-day basis.

Breakfast:
Once I have finished that I will get dressed and head downstairs. If I have time I will have breakfast if not I will grab something out of the cupboard and be off to whatever I am doing that day (normally working). For breakfast I normally have cereal (Weetabix or Cornflakes), if I’m in a rush it will be a cereal bar and some fruit. The other thing I will do is grab breakfast out e.g. Greggs. And that is it, I will then continue with my day.

I hope you enjoyed the blog! I will see you soon, Bye!

Evening Routine

I find my evening routine doesn’t really change a lot, I love unwinding after a long day, getting into bed and watching a good tv programme or movie.

Dinner:
After a long day all I want to do is eat, normally I will cook something quick and easy. Today for dinner I will make a chicken salad, I love having this for dinner as it tastes so nice and fills me up a lot (and its healthy, for me). Sometimes we do have a take out just because I haven’t finished work till late and all I want to do is have dinner, a shower and go to bed.

Chill out time:
Once I have had dinner I’m always so full I don’t want to move. So, I will sit down for a bit watch some YouTube, maybe do some of my blog and just relax. Sometimes I will make myself a cup of tea and have a cheeky biscuit. I normally do this for about an hour but it depends on how late it is in the evening.

Shower:
Before I have a shower I like to remove all off my make up with my Garner Micellar Water and cleanse with Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. Then jump into the shower. Sometimes I will have a shower or a bath, if I need to wash my hair I will have a shower just because it is easier. If not I will have a bath. I do prefer showers as I feel more clean afterwards, but I do like having a bath every now and then. When I’m out of the shower or bath I will get in some cosy pyjamas. Then, I will moisturise with Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser and use my Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream.

Bed:
Now is the time to get into bed. I will tie my hair back into a ponytail, get underneath the duvet and either watch a tv programme or a movie. If I do watch a movie there is a very high chance I will fall asleep watching it though, so Casey has to turn the movie off. However, if I watch a tv programme it will more than likely be Family Guy as I think it’s so funny. Finally, I will turn the tv off and go to sleep.
