Moving..

Recently I have moved house. The whole process was quite exciting for me. When we have moved house previously I have always been quite young and don’t really remember moving properly. Therefore, I thought I would share my experience with you.

Once our house was up for sale, we started viewing other house’s. I never realised how hard it is to find a house that is right for you. We looked at so many different house’s but finally found the perfect house. Once we bought the house I started to pack up my things. First thing I did was start to clean out my room. I was surprised on how much stuff I had (a lot of it I didn’t need). Things that weren’t worth keeping I put in the bin, and other stuff I sold. Once, I cleaned out my room and was left with the stuff I still wanted and needed, I started to put my things in boxes. I decided that I would buy new furniture when we move house as all the furniture I had was breaking. We took a trip down to Ikea and bought some new furniture. At this point I was very excited to move house. I finished packing away my thing’s in my room and putting them into boxes. I did manage to put all of my clothes into a normal size suitcase and carry on suitcase (except my coats and shoes that went into a box). The thing’s I needed to use and get to easily I put into my carry on suitcase or in my other ted baker bag. These things were mainly my toiletries, clothes, make up, hair brush, chargers, etc.

Our new house is a 30 minute drive away so I tried my best to pack my car with all my things so I we were out of the house in time. I ended up taking half of my things in my car, and the rest of my things my dad took in the moving van. I drove Alfie (my dog) with me in my car so I could keep an eye on him and make sure he was alright. When we got everything out of the house and drove to the new house we started unpacking the cars. I put all my box’s in my room and started to unpack. I needed to build all my furniture so it has taken me longer than expected. I have also found that it takes longer to unpack then pack (which I wasn’t expecting to be honest). I am still unpacking and organising my new room till this day. It was quite sad leaving our last home since I lived their for 13 years. But, I can’t wait for all the new memories in our new home.

I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope to see you soon! Bye!

Looking Through My Memory Box

Hi guys, I thought I would do a slightly different blog today and show you what I have in my memory box. I have had this box for as long as I can remember and anything I have found special or a great memory I have put it in this box.

Childhood:
I have collected a few things from my childhood which include; a door sign that says ‘Hannah’ on it which I have had since I was a little girl, a freddo frog toy (I loved freddo frog when I was younger), a Gameboy me and my brother used to always play with, and a few other bits and bobs. I love collecting things like this from my childhood as its nice to look back on them.

School:
I quite liked school so I have kept my leavers shirt that all my friends wrote on and signed. We also did a photo of everyone in the year which I have kept. This was my final year in school when I was doing my GCSE’s. I have also kept a school photo of me in year 9 (13 years) and year 11 (16 years) and a pillow I made in school when I was 12 years.

Memories:
I have a photos taken of me and my brother on different rides at different theme parks, jewellery I have received from my family members/loved ones, a Chelsea scarf that I got when I went to one of their football games, a picture of me driving an Audi R8 (my dream car) and a BMW i8 and my sash when I was a bridesmaid for my brother’s wedding, These are all things which I could never throw out as they hold some great memories to me.

Birthday Cards:
I like to keep some of my birthday cards because I think it’s a great milestone thing to keep. I have my 13th, 16th and 18th birthday cards from my family and friends.

Alfie:
I do have a box full of Alfie’s things that I can’t bring myself to throw away (as he was my first dog). In this box there is Alfie’s first lead, some pictures of Alfie when he was a puppy and his vet booklet that said he has had all his vaccinations.

And that is nearly everything I have in my memory box. I would love to know if you guys have a memory box and what you guys keep. I also did a video on Youtube if you would like to check it out at Hannah Oliver! I hope you enjoyed reading, and I hope to see you soon! Bye!
