How I Clean My Make Up Brushes/Sponges

Today I had to clean my make up brushes so I thought that I would share with you how I clean them and what products I use. I love using these products and method to clean my make up brushes and sponges. It cleans them really well and doesn’t ruin my brushes at all. Also check out my youtube channel HannahxoxoBlog. I hope you enjoy!

I will start off by wetting my make up brush and my blender cleanser solid, and swirling my brush around in my blender cleanser solid to create a lather. I will then create even more of a lather using circular motion on the small bobbly bits of the Kawaii Cleansing Brush Egg. I will also use the ridges on the cleansing brush egg to help get all the product out of my make up brushes. Once I think my brush is clean I will start to rinse my brush using clean water, still using the cleansing brush egg to help remove all the lather. When my brush is clean and rinsed I will squeeze the brush hairs on a towel to remove any excess water, and move my brush in circular motions on the towel to dry the brush hairs slightly. Finally I will make sure the brush hairs are all in the right direction and let the brush dry over an edge. I do the exact same method for cleaning my smaller make up brushes and sponges as well.

November Favourite’s 2017

It’s the start of a new month so time for me to share with you what I have been loving throughout November. Some of the things I have been loving is presents I got for my birthday as well. Also check out my youtube channel hannahxoxoblog. I hope you enjoy!

Urban Decay Naked Palette:
Casey got me this palette for my birthday and I was so pleased when I received it. I have been using it everyday since. I have wanted it for quite a while now as I am trying to collect the ‘naked’ palette’s. The packaging feels a really weird texture but it does definitely feel good quality. I love using this palette day-to-day and if I want to wear something a little more smoky than I can do with this palette. It definitely lived up to my expectation’s.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturiser:
I have loved this moisturiser for a while now. Especially since it’s getting into winter and my skin has been a little dryer than normal. I find it very light weight and not heavy and sticky on my skin which I really like. I would definitely recommend this moisturiser.

Lush Santa Baby Lip Scrub:
Again since its getting into winter my lips have been quite dry. So whenever I take my make up off and wash my face I will use this lip scrub to remove any dryness on my lips. And I have been loving it. My lips are so smooth and soft without even applying lip balm. I am not massive fan of the smell or taste but I don’t mind it. I love using this with my Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream (which is another one of my favourites).

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream:
I got this last Christmas. I loved it last year and I have been loving it this year as well. It moisturises my lips so well and if leaves them feeling so smooth and soft. A lot of people love this product and I definitely do love this product as well.

Kawaii Cleansing Brush Egg:
I ave wanted one of these for a while now and I was so excited when I saw I received it in my Glossybox. I find it a lot easier to clean my make up brushes now. As well as more thorough. I love using this along side my blender cleanser. I now know my brushes are 100% clean after I have cleaned them. I would 100% recommend.

V.I.Poo Spray:
I have heard of this product for a while now and I thought it was such a smart and funny product. It’s a bit of a weird favourite but, when I was doing my weekly food shop I saw it in Asda so decided to pick it up. When I bought it I wasn’t it expected it too work that well. But it is fantastic. It is small enough to put into your handbag so if you are out in public or round someone else house you can go to the toilet without anyone knowing.

Our Girl:
Our girl was on tv recently and I watched the first and second season so of course I was watching the third season. I absolutely love ‘Our Girl’, I 100% recommend everyone to watch it. It’s one of those tv programmes that you just can’t stop watching. As soon as the episode ends you want to watch the next one. I will not spoil it for anyone but I was very sad (and crying) at the end of the season.

October GlossyBox 2017

This month’s Glossybox is unicorn and mermaid inspired. I love the design of the box, how it’s a pink to blue ombre effect. All the products as well are full size which is really good. On top of the box is a Dorothy Perkins ‘the Shoe Edit’ booklet about all ‘the shoes you need this season’. As well as a ‘half unicorn’ sticker which I love, and will definitely be putting on my notebook. Also check out my Youtube channel hannahxoxoblog. I hope you enjoy!

Make Up Revolution Mermaids vs Unicorns Eyeshadow Palette:
I have never tried any Make Up Revolution make up before so I am excited to try this out. It does have some colours which are out of my comfort zone but I will definitely give them a go. The information card that comes within the box says ‘Whether you’re channeling an other-worldly look inspired by unicorns and mermaids or merely want a subtle flash of uplifting colour, unleash your creative side with these twelve dreamy shades, from whimsically adventurous to subtly charming’. This product retails for £4

Sleek Make Up Creme to Powder Blush in ‘Carnation’:
I have got one of Sleek’s powder blushes and I really like it. Therefore, I am excited to try out their creme to powder blush. The packing on this product is very similar to Nars packaging and I love how Sleek it looks. The information card says ‘An uplifting shade of blush always has the ability to put a smile on our faces. This innovative cream-to-powder blush is intensely pigmented (a little goes a long way) but has a natural, dewy finish and each Glossy will get one of six flattering hues’. This product retails for £5.99

Kawaii Enterprise Brush Cleansing Egg:
I have wanted one of these for quite a while now so I am super excited to try it out! And to see if they are as good as everyone claims they are. The information card says ‘This silicone brush cleansing egg makes it easier than ever. Pop your two fingers inside the egg, wet your brush and add a dash of gently liquid soap. Swirl your brush over the small nodules at the top to create a lather and then remove the foam (and product build up) by running the bristles down the deeper grooves, which will also realign the brush hairs without damaging them’. This product retails for £7.99

Lord & Berry Magic Brow Perfect Eye Brow Pencil:
I prefer extractable eyebrow pencils as I find them easier to use but I will definitely give this one a go. I have heard of this brand before but never tried out any of their products. The information card says ‘This highly pigmented brow pencil has a marbleised tip swirled with two complimentary shades, so it flatters all colourings by mimicking the colour variation naturally found in brows’. This product retails for £14

I have never heard of this brand before so again I am excited to try it out. The information card says ‘This multi-purpose cream can be used on your lips, cheeks and eyes, making for the perfect eyeshadow, blush or highlighter’. This product retails for £19.50
