January Favourite’s 2019

It’s the start of a new month again and time for another monthly favourites video. I do have quite a few beauty favourites and netflix favourites this month. I hope you enjoy looking at my January favourite’s.

img_3980img_3981

Mac Blush in ‘Orgasm’:                                                                                                                  This blush is such a know blush in the beauty industry. And of course I wanted to see what the hype was about. it is such a perfect shade for day-to-day. It’s a muted pink but still adds a gorgeous flush to your cheeks. It’s not too powdery either which I prefer.

Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter:                                                                                                                 I have recently bought this highlighter and I fell in love with it straight away. It leaves such a beautiful wet shine on your cheek bones which I find looks very natural. It can be quite powdery but I don’t mind that, it doesn’t really bother me. I would definitely recommend this highlighter though.

Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil:                                                                                                                 I have fallen in love with this eyebrow pencil. It has a great creamy formula to it but still lasts all day. Normally I will buy the smaller pencil without the brush as its cheaper and I can use any brush for that. I would definitely recommend this eyebrow pencil.

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick in ‘Child Star’:                                                                                                                 I love trying out new lip products. I have never tried this liquid lipstick before, but I have fallen in love with it. The formula is perfect, it’s not  drying but still lasts all day. I am very eager to try out more colours in this range.

Naked Heat Palette:                                                                                                                 Again this is another product that I have recently bought and again I am in love with it. The colour range is amazing, I love warm orange/brown colours on my eyes. Especially as the bring out the blue in my eyes. The shades blend like a dream and I can easily use every shade in the palette. This is definitely my favourite Naked palette out of all of them.

Netflix:                                                                                                                                             In January I had a week off work as I had no time off over Christmas. Within my week I purposely didn’t book lots of things so I could just chill and relax for a week. Therefore, I found myself watching a lot of Netflix. The series I have been watching and loving recently are; season 4 of Peaky Blinder, You, Sex Education and Power. All of these series I loved and would definitely recommend.

Winter Night-Time Routine

As it is winter and we are in the older months of the year I always spend a little more time in the evenings before I go to bed. Normally I have work or I’m out doing something and always get home at different times. However, this is what I like to do when I get home whatever time it being. I hope you enjoy reading what I get up to in the evenings of the colder months.

Dinner:                                                                                                                                                 I have found myself to be quite busy these days. Either I will be working, doing a client’s hair or out with my friends. Therefore I don’t get to spend a lot of time at home with my family, and when I am home I love to have a catch up with them. So as soon as I get home from my busy day I will sit down with my family and have a catch up of what I have been doing during the day. This is normally while my mum is getting my dinner ready for me. I am ever to grateful that my mum still cooks for me otherwise I will probably be always getting a takeaway most days. Once my dinner is ready I will sit at the table and eat it while I’m still having a good old natter with my mum.

Shower:                                                                                                                                                 Once I’ve finished my dinner I will quickly jump in the shower (and wash my hair if I need too). I will also take my make up off while I’m in the shower. When I feel all fresh and clean I will jump out, dry off and moisturise my body. This is a step I nearly always forget but I am getting better at it. Before heading out of the bathroom I will quickly brush my teeth. When I go to my room the first thing I do is make it all cosy. I will put my fairy lights on, light a candle and close the curtains. I will then continue my skincare routine of applying my moisturiser, eye cream, spot cream and lip balm.

Bed:                                                                                                                                                 At this point I’m getting tired and ready for bed. Therefore I will get into my pyjamas and curl up into bed. Normally I do like to catch up on my social media and watch a bit of Netflix before I go to sleep. I am currently watching the final season of Peaky Blinders and I’m really enjoying it! The last thing I will do before going to sleep is to set my alarm ready for the next day ahead.

Avant Skincare Deluxe Hyaluronic Acid Vivifying Face & Eye Night Cream:                       I have never heard of this brand before but I am very intrigued by it. I love trying out new eye cream’s and finding ones that work for my skin. The information card says ‘This delightful full-size anti-ageing moisturiser is formulated with the deeply hydrating wonder ingredient hyaluronic acid! It will rejuvenate tired eyes, promote an even skin tone and minimise the appearance of fine lines and pesky pores! It also has a gorgeous fresh scent and instantly smooths your skin without adding shine!’ This is a full size product and retails for £98

Batiste Rethink Dry Shampoo:                                                                                                      I have used batiste dry shampoo before I really like it. I have never seen a dry shampoo that hydrates as well. It will be interesting how well it works. The information card says ‘These new dry shampoos infused with strengthening keratin, smoothing coconut, moisturising avocado or plumping collagen. They’ll refresh, repair, soften, hydrate and revive your tresses, leaving your hair feeling clean and fabulous!’ This is a deluxe mini size (50ml) which retails for £1.50, and the full size (200ml) is £4.25

Maybelline Dream Blender Foundation Sponge:                                                                                             I have seen this product a lot but never used it myself. I do love using beauty sponges as well, I’m intrigued on how well it works. The information card says ‘This latex-free, foundation blending sponge delivers even coverage and a smooth finish’. This is a full size product retails for £4.99

Hask Repairing Deep Conditioning Treatment:                                                                                             I have seen these conditioning treatments before but I have never used them myself. Again I have heard very good things about them and eager to try them out. The one I received in my Glossybox is a ‘colour protection deep conditioner’ which contains ’kalahari melon oil’. The information card says ‘These deeply nourishing treatments infused with Argan oil, keratin protein, Kalahari melon oil or bamboo extracts will repair, soften and strengthen your hair. The clever formulas infuse your hair cuticles with hydration for nourished, shiny tresses’. This is a full size product and retails for £2.49 each.

-417 Facial Micro Luffa Foaming Gel:                                                                                             I am not a massive fan of foaming gels to be honest so I was very excited when I first saw this inside the box. However, I will definitely give it ago. The information cards says ‘Add this refreshing foaming gel cleanser into your beauty regimen! Simply work the gel into damp skin in circular motions to gently exfoliate and remove your make up! Formulated with minerals from the Dead Sea (typical of -417 products), rare plant extracts and vitamins, its invigorating formula will leave your skin feeling clean, soft and fresh’. This is a deluxe mini size (100ml) which retails for £13.31, and the full size (200ml) retails for £22.71

2018 Beauty Favourite’s

As 2018 has come to an end I thought I would recap on my favourite beauty products throughout 2018. I have found a few new product’s and stuck by a few of my favourite product’s as well. I hope you enjoy reading through what I product’s I have been loving throughout 2018.

IMG_E3873.JPG

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer:                                                                                                             I discovered this product this year and I love it! The coverage is really good and lasts all day. I would 100% recommend this product. I must say I do really like the packaging as well, how big and chunky it is.

E.L.F. Baked Highlight in ‘Moonlight Pearl’:                                                                                                          I have absolutely fallen in love with this highlighter this year. I have used up a whole one and repurchased it. This highlighter is so perfect on a day-to-day basis. It’s not too powdery and has a really nice glow on the skin

Soap & Glory Archery 2in1 Pencil and Brush                                                                                                          I have used this eyebrow pencil for a long time now and I have gone through many and always repurchased it. It’s not too waxy and lasts all day. I would again 100% recommend the product.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water                                                                                                          Again I have used this product for a long time now. I love using micellar water’s to remove my make up as I find they remove it so easily. I especially love this one as it never stings my eyes and does such a good job of removing my make up.

Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser                                                                                                          I have loved and used this moisturiser for a long time now and I will forever keep using it. I am very eager to try out the ‘moisture surge’ collection for an eye cream. I would 100% recommend this moisturiser and I havent used one as good. It moisturises my skin perfectly without being thick and heavy. It is very lightweight and thin but is still very moisturising.

La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo                                                                                                          I have used this product for a couple of years now and it never fails me. It gets rid of any marks or scars from spots like a dream. it also helps any spots come to the surface as well. I don’t apply this all over my face only to specific area’s.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion                                                                                                          This is a product I have discovered in 2018 and I was very surprised by it. Whenever I have a spot that is underneath the skin or won’t come to the surface I will pop some of this on it with a cotton bud just before I go to bed. By the time I wake up in my morning it is half the original size and the redness has gone down. It is definitely a miracle product for me.

Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray                                                                                                          This is the finally product that I have discovered in 2018 that I have been loving. Whenever I want my hair mess and wavy naturally I will put this in while its wet and let my ahi air-dry. It reduces any frizz and makes my hair a nice wavy instead of a frizzy mess. It is quite expensive but it is definitely worth it for me.

Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019

I have had a lot of ups and downs throughout 2018. Last year I did the exact same blog and I really enjoyed it. Therefore, I thought I would do it again this year. Last year I set myself 5 goals to complete in 2018. These goals were 1. Move into a house instead of a flat, 2. Get back into hairdressing, 3. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, 4. Save more money, 5. Travel. I did move out of my flat and moved into a house with my boyfriend. However, we have broken up and I am now living back in with my parents and I couldn’t be happier. I have got back into hairdressing as I am now doing it mobile on the side of my full time job. I have definitely got better at eating breakfast, lunch and dinner however I would like to eat a bit more healthier as well. Since I have moved back in with my parents I am finding I am saving a lot more money and dealing with my money better. I have done some travelling this year as well. I went to Corfu in September and Amsterdam in November. Therefore, I think I have accomplished most of y goals for the year.

Throughout 2019 I am going to set myself 5 more goals for the year. My first goal is to move to Australia. As some of you may or may not know I was born in Australia and moved to England when I was 5 and lived here ever since. I have always wanted to move back to Australia and I feel like this is the year to do it. My second goal is to travel more. Every year I travel to a few countries and I want to travel even more in 2019. My third goal is to eat healthier and start exercising. My job is quite active which I like but I would like to get a bit more toned. I also feel if I eat healthier than I will feel better within myself. My fourth goal is to again save more money. I will need as much money as I can save for when I move to Australia. My fifth and final goal is to be as happy as I can and make more memories with my friends and family.
