Everyday Hair Tutorial|Summer 2018

Today I thought I would share with you what I have been doing with my hair recently. What products I have been using and how I style my hair when I go to work. Also check out my youtube channel HannahxoxoBlog. I hope you enjoy!

Product’s I Use:
Normally I will wash my hair at night, however if I do get time I will wash my hair in the morning. I do like to mix up my shampoo, but I find myself always going back to TRESemme Cleansing Shampoo. I find it cleanses my scalp and hair really well without it being too harsh on my hair. The conditioner I swear by is the Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner. It never fails to surprise me how good this conditioner is. Recently I have also been loving the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment, it helps my hair grow long and with the condition. I will wash my hair apply this mask all over my hair, leave it on for about 10 minutes, rinse my hair and then conditioner my hair as normal. When I style my hair sometimes I want it straight, other times I want it wavy. It just depends how I feel that day. Day-to-day when I got to work I will have my hair wavy. On these days I will spray my Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray after I have washed my hair and leave it to air dry. If I have somewhere I need to be then I will rough dry my hair but most of the time I will let it air dry. Once my hair is dry I will put some serum in my hair to reduce any frizz.

How I Style My Hair:
When I go to work I need to have my hair up and out of my face so I will put my hair in a low ponytail. I will brush my hair put it in a low ponytail, I will put it up quite loosely and pull a few bits out around my face. When I have a day off work and I want my hair out of my face I will have my hair half up half down. I will put the top section up, again quite loosely and pull a few bits out around my face.

Get Ready With Me: Summer 2017

As it is summer I thought I would share with you my day to day summer make up look which I find quick and easy to do. I hope you enjoy!

IMG_6797IMG_6799IMG_6804IMG_6806

Make Up:
I am going to start off by priming my skin with the NYX Angel Veil Primer and just rub that into my skin with my fingers. As it is summer I don’t want to wear foundation as it can be quite heavy on my skin. So I am going to apply my Tarte Shape Tape concealer and blend it out all over my face with my Beauty Blender. I am just going to make sure my concealer is 100% all blended out with my Real Techniques Foundation Brush. To set my face the powder I am going to use is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder with my Real Techniques Blush Brush as it is quick and easy to apply. I am just going to fill in my brow’s with the Soap & Glory 2in1 Pencil and Brush and set them in place with the Rimmel Brow This Way. To bronze up my face a little I am going to use my Body Shop Honey Bronzer with my Real Techniques Contour Brush. For blush and highlight I want it to be natural so I am going to use my Tarte Amazionian Clay Blush in ‘Exposed’ applying that with my Morphe E4 Brush, and my E.L.F. Baked Highlight in ‘Moonlight Pearl’ applying that with my E.L.F. Small Tapered Brush. For my eyeshadow I want to keep it quick and simple so I’m just going to take my bronzer from earlier and apply that into my crease with my Zoeva 221 brush, then taking that on my lower lash line with my Zoeva 230 brush. For my lashes I am just going to curl them with my eyelash curlers and apply one coat of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, then for the second coat apply my Tarte Light’s Camera, Lashes Mascara. To finish off my make up I am just going to apply some Vaseline to my lip’s.

Hair:
I’m not going to do anything special with my hair as I’ve only got a few errands run today. I’m just going to let my hair down and brush through it, and let it fall how ever it want’s.

Outfit:
I want something comfortable and casual today so I’m going to wear my black Topshop Joni Jeans, a plain white vest top and my flannel from Primark. It’s super casual and comfortable, perfect for today.

And that is me getting ready for today just quick, easy and comfortable. Check out my Youtube Channel hannahxoxoblog. I hope you enjoyed and I hope to see you soon! Bye!

July Favourite’s 2017

It’s the start of a new month, meaning a month favourites. I hope you enjoy!

fullsizeoutput_6a3Tarte Shape Tape Concealer:
I have recently bought a few Tarte make up product’s and I have fallen in love with everyone of them. I love the concealer because it has such good coverage and it’s not drying underneath my eyes at all. The size of the concealer is really good, as it is a little bigger than the normal concealer size.

Tarte Amazionian Clay Blush in ‘Exposed’:
I love how natural looking this blush is on my skin. I got the colour ‘Exposed’ and it’s such a beautiful pink nude shade. The packaging is so cute and feels really good quality. I’m definitely wanting to try out more shades of there blushes and I would definitely recommend the Tarte Amazionian Clay blushes.

IMG_6632Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara:
I love trying new mascara’s out, I can be quite picky with them as well. I find this mascara give me more volume and length but mainly volume. I do normally prefer length over volume but the days I would rather volume I do use this mascara. Again I love the packaging and I would definitely recommend this mascara.

Tarte Colour Splash Lipstick in ‘Rum Punch’:
I have fallen in love with this lipstick. It is the most perfect colour, its my lips but better kind of colour. It’s so moisturising and lovely on my lips. I will say it doesn’t last all day but I don’t mind re-applying throughout the day. It doesn’t look weird when it fades as well. I love the marble packaging as well, and it feels really good quality.

fullsizeoutput_6a2Toni&Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Damaged Hair:
I have never used a Toni&Guy shampoo before so I was eager to try this one out. I normally like clear shampoo’s not thick one’s but I do really like this one. It doesn’t make my hair feel greasy and I do really want to try more of there shampoo’s.

fullsizeoutput_6a4John Frieda Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum:
I love using products to reduce frizz because my hair can get frizzy sometimes so I always use products on my hair when it’s wet. I only need to use two pumps of this so I think it’s going to last me a long time. I have used John Frieda Frizz Ease products before and I do really like them so I’m not surprised I like this one.

Love Island:
Throughout July I have been loving Love Island! It has ended now but as I am writing this blog I don’t know who has won it yet. I have been talking about it non stop to everyone I know and I’m so sad it will be finishing soon. If you haven’t watched it I would definitely say give it a go. I know some guys that love the show as well.

And that is everything I have been loving throughout July. Also check out my Youtube Channel ‘hannahxoxoblog’. I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope to see you soon! Bye!

July GlossyBox 2017

This month’s Glossybox is for getting ready for summer. And I have been subscribed to GlossyBox for a year now so they sent me a little card in my box saying ‘Thank you’ as well as a little notebook.

IMG_6568Bellapierre Cosmetic’s Banana Setting Powder:
I haven’t tried a banana powder before so I am excited to try this on out. It does seem very thin and dusty just by first impression’s. The information card that comes with the box say’s ’This banana setting powder has a yellow hue that helps to counteract redness, discolouration, blemishes and dark circles in paler skin tones and creates beautiful highlights against olive and dark skin’. This is a full size product and retails for £25.

IMG_6567Spectrum Collection’s Small Fan – A10:
I don’t own a fan brush so I am excited to try this out and see how well it applies highlight. I have heard of this brand before as well. The information card say’s ‘Spectrum’s best-selling small fan brush is perfect for applying setting powder or highlighter thanks to its premium cruelty-free synthetic bristles’. Personally I would only use this brush for highlighter not setting powder as well. This brush is a full size and retail’s for £4.99

IMG_6565Monu Professional Skincare, MONUspa Soothing After Sun Lotion:
I love how this product has aloe vera in it as I love aloe vera. It feels very light and thin which I really like for summer time. The card say’s ‘With the most active form of soothing aloe vera as well as vitamin E and shea butter, this luxurious after sun cools, hydrates and helps to calm sunned-out skin’. This product is a sample size but the full size retails for £19.95

IMG_6569Cute Balms Macaroon Ting Balm in ‘Crushed Berry’:
I think the packaging on this product is so cute, and I absolutely love macaroons. I think it is a smart idea how it is a lip bam as well cheek tint. Although personally I would only use it as a lip balm. It smells really good as well. The information card say’s ‘It’s pretty, does double duty as a lip and cheek colour and smells good too’. This is a full size product and retails for £5.99

Papanga Spiral Hairbrands:
I have tried hairbands like these ones before and I really like them. Although these ones seem a little more thicker than the ones I have. The card say’s ‘Hair can damage and fray when you secure it with tight elastic hair bands. Not so with these spiral alternative, which hold hair while preventing breakage and split ends’. There are two hairbands that come in a pack and retails for £4.99

And that is everything I received in my GlossyBox this month. Also check out my youtube channel ‘hannahxoxoblog’ . I hope you enjoyed and I hope to see you soon! Bye!

Morning Routine

My morning routine doesn’t really change a lot when I have work, however if it is my day off I don’t really have a routine. Therefore, this will be my morning routine on a day-to-day basis when I have work.

img_0769

Time to get up:
Once I wake up I will just automatically go on my phone and browse on social media, just a habit. I don’t normally find it that hard to get up in a morning as weird and strange as it is. I would much rather wake up early and get lots of things done in a day then have a lay in and hardly do anything. When its time for me to get up I will go to the bathroom and brush my teeth.

image

Make-up:
I don’t normally do much skincare in the morning since all I do at night is sleep and my skin doesn’t get really dirty. All I do is apply my Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser and my eye cream. At the moment I have been using the Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream I do like it but I wouldn’t say I love it or hate it. Then, I will continue with my everyday make up, this normally takes me about 15 minutes to do which I love as its so quick and easy. I always love going for the natural make up look for a day-to-day basis, I have done a blog post on my everyday make up routine if you would like to have a browse on what products I use.

Hair:
I wash my hair every other day since that’s when it needs washing. I do wash my hair at night as I don’t have time to dry it in the mornings. If I find my hair needs straightening then I will, if not I will just style as normal (which is normally half up half down ponytail). I do keep it quite simple as thats the way I like to do my hair on a day-to-day basis.

Breakfast:
Once I have finished that I will get dressed and head downstairs. If I have time I will have breakfast if not I will grab something out of the cupboard and be off to whatever I am doing that day (normally working). For breakfast I normally have cereal (Weetabix or Cornflakes), if I’m in a rush it will be a cereal bar and some fruit. The other thing I will do is grab breakfast out e.g. Greggs. And that is it, I will then continue with my day.

I hope you enjoyed the blog! I will see you soon, Bye!

Empties

I thought I would share with you what product’s I have used up over the last month or so. I always think you really know what you think of a product once you have used it all up. Therefore, these are the product’s I have used up and what I think of them.

Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes:- I love these make up wipes, I have repurchased them again and again. They don’t irritate my eyes at all and they work perfectly for me. Most make up wipes I am not a massive fan of but I do really like these and will keep repurchasing them. I do prefer to use these when I’m taking off waterproof mascara as well.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara:- Again, I absolutely love this mascara. This mascara gives great length and volume. It’s affordable and a great mascara. I would highly recommend this mascara and I already have a new one ready to use. This mascara is one of my favourite drugstore mascara’s.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:- I have gone through so many of these bottles. I would definitely recommend the Garnier Micellar Water over the Simple one. This one doesn’t irritate my eyes at all and takes off my make up perfectly, it’s so easy. I do love the idea of a micellar water as well.

Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner:- I do really like this conditioner and I will defiantly be repurchasing it. Most conditioner’s I don’t really find they do much for my hair but after I use this conditioner I can feel a difference. I do also recommend the Dove Intensive Repair Hair Mask that they do, it is also really good.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder:- This powder is a matte powder so it’s perfect for some people but it’s not for everyone. When you hit pan with this powder you do have to be careful because I accidentally dropped it and it’s crumbled into loads of little bits and I can’t use all of it now. I may repurchase this but it’s not a definitely repurchase.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturiser:- I instantly fell in love with this moisturiser. It’s such a perfect day time moisturiser and feels so lovely and smooth on my skin. It’s not too heavy either which I really like. I can definitely tell the difference in my skin when I use this moisturiser. I actually have already repurchased this.

Ghost Perfume:- I absolutely love the smell of Ghost Perfume. I don’t normally buy it for myself, normally I get given it as a gift. I rarely go through perfume as I have quite a few different one’s. But I have finally gone through one and it is a fragrance that I will defiantly have again.

TRESemme Perfectly (Un)Done Shampoo:- I really liked this shampoo. It cleansed my scalp perfectly and I could just about go three day’s without having to wash my hair (which is a bonus as I am lazy with my hair). I also really liked the smell of it. I will defiantly be re-purchasing this shampoo soon.

Rimmel Match Perfection Highlight and Concealer:- I love this concealer to highlight under my eyes. I do have to use another concealer to hide my dark circles but this concealer does cover them up a little. I would highly recommend this concealer and will defiantly be re-purchasing it. I am also tempted to try out the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation now as I do really like the concealer.

Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm:- I always used Vaseline until one of my friends got me to use Carmex and I really like it. I also like how you don’t have to use your finger to apply it. You can either get the squeezy tube or the pot. I have already re-purchased another Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm.

Hairstyle’s

Hi guys! Today I thought I would do a slightly different blog, I thought I would share with you my go-to hairstyles that I find are so quick and easy to do. For each of these hairstyles I have straightened my hair (as my hair does have a slight wavy to it). Styling products that I use on dry hair are TRESemme Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo and TRESemme Salon Touchable Feel Ultra Fine Hairspray. When my hair is freshly washed there isn’t much grip to it so I will use dry shampoo to help that and a bit of hairspray to hold the look.

Half Up, Half Down:
This is the hairstyle I do most day’s to work, I find it’s the easiest and the quickest to do. All you have to do is take half of your hair up to the crown of your head with your fingers, take out any bits of hair that you want out. Then, brush the hair up to the ponytail and secure it with a band. I put a small clip behind my ponytail to give a bit of extra lift.

Bun:
For this hairstyle you can use a donut ring if not you can do a normal bun. I find using a donut ring they are easier and look more professional, but it depends on what look you want to achieve. But today I will be using a donut ring. Simply, brush all your hair up to a high ponytail and secure it with a band. Take your donut ring and pull your ponytail through. brush your hair so its spread around the ring and put a band around to secure the hair in place. The access hair you can tuck into the bun and secure in place with a hair grip. Finally, hairspray any fly away hairs.

French Plaits:
This is a little more of a complicated hairstyle but once you get the hang of it, its easy. Just split your hair down into two separate sections. On one section start at the top and pick up a little bit of hair, split it into three and plait them over each other (under if you want to do a dutch plait). Remember to pick up a sections of hair from each side as you work your way down to the nape of your head. Finish the plait of by securing it at the end with a band. Repeat the same process on the other side of your hair. You can make this hairstyle as messy or as neat as you wish.

Ponytail:
Again this hairstyle is really easy and simple to do, but I love to do it when I’m at work and don’t really want to do much to my hair. You can either wear this messy or neat it’s entirely up to you. To achieve this look all you need to do is brush your hair up into a ponytail. You can make the ponytail high or low depending on how you want it too look. As you can see in the pictures I have achieved two looks with this hairstyle. First look being a neat high ponytail, and the second with a side parting going back into a lower ponytail but still above the nape of my head.

Plait Ponytail:
For this hairstyle you will need to take a top box on the top of your head. Then, french or dutch plait it back starting from your hairline working your way back to your crown. Once you have done that and secured it in place with a band, with your excess hair brush your hair up into a high ponytail including the plait you have just done. Just finish it off with some hairspray.
