Winter Night-Time Routine

As it is winter and we are in the older months of the year I always spend a little more time in the evenings before I go to bed. Normally I have work or I’m out doing something and always get home at different times. However, this is what I like to do when I get home whatever time it being. I hope you enjoy reading what I get up to in the evenings of the colder months.

Dinner:                                                                                                                                                 I have found myself to be quite busy these days. Either I will be working, doing a client’s hair or out with my friends. Therefore I don’t get to spend a lot of time at home with my family, and when I am home I love to have a catch up with them. So as soon as I get home from my busy day I will sit down with my family and have a catch up of what I have been doing during the day. This is normally while my mum is getting my dinner ready for me. I am ever to grateful that my mum still cooks for me otherwise I will probably be always getting a takeaway most days. Once my dinner is ready I will sit at the table and eat it while I’m still having a good old natter with my mum. 

Shower:                                                                                                                                                 Once I’ve finished my dinner I will quickly jump in the shower (and wash my hair if I need too). I will also take my make up off while I’m in the shower. When I feel all fresh and clean I will jump out, dry off and moisturise my body. This is a step I nearly always forget but I am getting better at it. Before heading out of the bathroom I will quickly brush my teeth. When I go to my room the first thing I do is make it all cosy. I will put my fairy lights on, light a candle and close the curtains. I will then continue my skincare routine of applying my moisturiser, eye cream, spot cream and lip balm. 

Bed:                                                                                                                                                 At this point I’m getting tired and ready for bed. Therefore I will get into my pyjamas and curl up into bed. Normally I do like to catch up on my social media and watch a bit of Netflix before I go to sleep. I am currently watching the final season of Peaky Blinders and I’m really enjoying it! The last thing I will do before going to sleep is to set my alarm ready for the next day ahead.

What I Eat in a Day|April 2018

I have never done a blog like this before so I am very excited to do it. I thought I would share with you roughly what I eat in a day-to-day basis. I don’t eat the most healthiest I will admit but I am happy and confident in my body. So, I don’t mind that I don’t eat the healthiest. Also check out my youtube channel hannahxoxoblog. Breakfast (11am):
I don’t always eat breakfast, but I do try to. This morning I am going to have a some toast with Nutella and a warm pan au chocolate as well just to fill me up some more. For a drink I want something warm so I am going to have a hot chocolate.

Lunch (1pm):
I usually have a sandwich for my lunch. Today I am going to have a tuna mayonnaise sandwich with a packet of salt and vinegar crisps and some orange and pineapple cordial. I normally have water throughout the day and have cordial when I am having a meal/food.

Snack (4pm):
I do get quite hungry between lunch and dinner, so I do tend to have a little snack. Today I am going to have some Cadbury’s Crunchy Melt cookies as I have just been food shopping and I couldn’t resist them.

Dinner (7pm):
I wasn’t too hungry this evening so I just made some mash potato and some gravy. It fills me up and it’s quick and easy. Again I will just have some orange and pineapple cordial as a drink as well. I don’t normally have a dessert so I’m not going to have one tonight either.

 

Evening Routine

I find my evening routine doesn’t really change a lot, I love unwinding after a long day, getting into bed and watching a good tv programme or movie.

Dinner:
After a long day all I want to do is eat, normally I will cook something quick and easy. Today for dinner I will make a chicken salad, I love having this for dinner as it tastes so nice and fills me up a lot (and its healthy, for me). Sometimes we do have a take out just because I haven’t finished work till late and all I want to do is have dinner, a shower and go to bed.

Chill out time:
Once I have had dinner I’m always so full I don’t want to move. So, I will sit down for a bit watch some YouTube, maybe do some of my blog and just relax. Sometimes I will make myself a cup of tea and have a cheeky biscuit. I normally do this for about an hour but it depends on how late it is in the evening.

Shower:
Before I have a shower I like to remove all off my make up with my Garner Micellar Water and cleanse with Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. Then jump into the shower. Sometimes I will have a shower or a bath, if I need to wash my hair I will have a shower just because it is easier. If not I will have a bath. I do prefer showers as I feel more clean afterwards, but I do like having a bath every now and then. When I’m out of the shower or bath I will get in some cosy pyjamas. Then, I will moisturise with Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser and use my Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream.

Bed:
Now is the time to get into bed. I will tie my hair back into a ponytail, get underneath the duvet and either watch a tv programme or a movie. If I do watch a movie there is a very high chance I will fall asleep watching it though, so Casey has to turn the movie off. However, if I watch a tv programme it will more than likely be Family Guy as I think it’s so funny. Finally, I will turn the tv off and go to sleep.
