Winter Night-Time Routine

As it is winter and we are in the older months of the year I always spend a little more time in the evenings before I go to bed. Normally I have work or I’m out doing something and always get home at different times. However, this is what I like to do when I get home whatever time it being. I hope you enjoy reading what I get up to in the evenings of the colder months.

Dinner:                                                                                                                                                 I have found myself to be quite busy these days. Either I will be working, doing a client’s hair or out with my friends. Therefore I don’t get to spend a lot of time at home with my family, and when I am home I love to have a catch up with them. So as soon as I get home from my busy day I will sit down with my family and have a catch up of what I have been doing during the day. This is normally while my mum is getting my dinner ready for me. I am ever to grateful that my mum still cooks for me otherwise I will probably be always getting a takeaway most days. Once my dinner is ready I will sit at the table and eat it while I’m still having a good old natter with my mum.

Shower:                                                                                                                                                 Once I’ve finished my dinner I will quickly jump in the shower (and wash my hair if I need too). I will also take my make up off while I’m in the shower. When I feel all fresh and clean I will jump out, dry off and moisturise my body. This is a step I nearly always forget but I am getting better at it. Before heading out of the bathroom I will quickly brush my teeth. When I go to my room the first thing I do is make it all cosy. I will put my fairy lights on, light a candle and close the curtains. I will then continue my skincare routine of applying my moisturiser, eye cream, spot cream and lip balm.

Bed:                                                                                                                                                 At this point I’m getting tired and ready for bed. Therefore I will get into my pyjamas and curl up into bed. Normally I do like to catch up on my social media and watch a bit of Netflix before I go to sleep. I am currently watching the final season of Peaky Blinders and I’m really enjoying it! The last thing I will do before going to sleep is to set my alarm ready for the next day ahead.

Autumn Must Haves

Since it is now Autumn I thought its only right to do a Autumn Must-Haves blog.

Darker Lips:- I absolutely love darker lips in the autumn time since the weather is getting more colder and everyone is getting all cosy. Some of my favourite lipsticks in the autumn time are Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks in 30, NYX Liquid Lipstick in ’Sandstorm’ and ‘Cherry Skies’.

Cosy Jumpers:- Everyone has to have a cosy jumper as its getting a little cooler. I love having a warm jumper to be all cosy in, even when you are out and about.

Blushers:- When the weather gets a little colder and everyone starts to wrap up a bit more I think a deeper berry blush looks gorgeous. As long as you don’t go too over board with it and you look like you have just gone for a run. One of my favourite Autumn blushers are Sleek in ‘pomegranate’.

Candles:- Again as the weather is more cool everyone loves to get all cosy and snug, they perfect way to do this is by getting the candles out.

Skincare:- Most peoples skin does get more dry in the Autumn and Winter and I think skincare in key for this time of the year. You can’t go wrong with a good moisturiser. Some moisturisers I love and do my skin the world of good is Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturiser and Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask.

Pyjamas:- After a long day and getting into your pj’s is the best. Nothing cosier than getting in your pyjamas on a cold autumn/winter evening. I always think you can get away with having disney pyjamas in the colder months.

Eyes:- I love doing more of a darker and more bold eye during the autumn and winter. Especially dark berry colours as well as brown’s. A few of my favourite eyeshadow’s to wear is ‘Exquisite’ from the Zoeva ‘En Taupe’ Palette, ’Nooner’, ‘Liar’, ‘Factory’ and ‘Mugshot’ from the Naked 3 Palette. I also love using my Body Shop Honey Bronze in ’05’ and blend it through my crease.

Nails:- Again dark berry shades are essential. So you have to have a dark berry/purple nail varnish. One of my favourite’s is Rimmel 60 Second’s Super Shine in ‘Black Cherries’.

Cosy Socks:- I don’t know about you but my feet and always cold in the colder months so I always have cosy socks on to keep my feet warm. And they are just perfect for a cosy night in.

Bath:- I love bath’s in autumn and winter to warm me up after a long day. The perfect product’s for the bath are from Lush. Especially ‘Intergalactic’ and ‘Frozen’.
