Morning Routine

My morning routine doesn’t really change a lot when I have work, however if it is my day off I don’t really have a routine. Therefore, this will be my morning routine on a day-to-day basis when I have work.

Time to get up:
Once I wake up I will just automatically go on my phone and browse on social media, just a habit. I don’t normally find it that hard to get up in a morning as weird and strange as it is. I would much rather wake up early and get lots of things done in a day then have a lay in and hardly do anything. When its time for me to get up I will go to the bathroom and brush my teeth.

Make-up:
I don’t normally do much skincare in the morning since all I do at night is sleep and my skin doesn’t get really dirty. All I do is apply my Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser and my eye cream. At the moment I have been using the Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream I do like it but I wouldn’t say I love it or hate it. Then, I will continue with my everyday make up, this normally takes me about 15 minutes to do which I love as its so quick and easy. I always love going for the natural make up look for a day-to-day basis, I have done a blog post on my everyday make up routine if you would like to have a browse on what products I use.

Hair:
I wash my hair every other day since that’s when it needs washing. I do wash my hair at night as I don’t have time to dry it in the mornings. If I find my hair needs straightening then I will, if not I will just style as normal (which is normally half up half down ponytail). I do keep it quite simple as thats the way I like to do my hair on a day-to-day basis.

Breakfast:
Once I have finished that I will get dressed and head downstairs. If I have time I will have breakfast if not I will grab something out of the cupboard and be off to whatever I am doing that day (normally working). For breakfast I normally have cereal (Weetabix or Cornflakes), if I’m in a rush it will be a cereal bar and some fruit. The other thing I will do is grab breakfast out e.g. Greggs. And that is it, I will then continue with my day.

I hope you enjoyed the blog! I will see you soon, Bye!

2016 Favourites

Within 2016 I have tried quite a few new products. I am only going to be sharing the products that I absolutely loved in 2016! Otherwise we will be here all day. Therefore, I am going to get straight into it.

img_5314Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser:
I have discovered this product this year and have fallen in love with it. I have repurchased this a few times now and will continue. It’s such a lovely and thin moisturiser, not too heavy but still moisturises my skin perfectly. I can definitely notice when I don’t use this moisturiser. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

img_1182La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo:
This stuff is amazing, if I put it on at night and I can notice a difference in my spots by the morning. My spots used to leave scarring on my face but now I do not have that problem thanks to this. This bottle as lasted me ages as well which is an added bonus.

Naked 3 Palette:
I got this palette last Christmas and I have used it nearly everyday. I love the colours and I think there is a good range of them. The pigmentation is also really good. I now what the rest of the Naked palette’s.

img_5315Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge:
My foundation and concealer blends beautifully with the sponge. It doesn’t absorb too much of the product as well which is great. It is slightly starting to rip a little bit but I have had it for absolutely ages. I will definitely be buying a new one when the one rips more.

img_5316Wet Brush:
I have used this brush for just over a year now and I love it! It is designed to brush through wet hair so it doesn’t damage your hair. I find it similar to the tangle teaser but better (and with a handle). I actually bought myself another one this year and I have recommended it to all my friends.

img_4747Garnier Micellar Water:
I absolutely love this, I always repurchase it. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or tug at them but at the same time takes my make up off easily. They also do a travel size which I always buy when I go away on holiday. I would highly recommend this micellar water over the simple one!

img_5317Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Treatment:
I started using this just over a year ago and it has transformed my hair. I used to have really dry, brittle hair but now my hair is so soft and so easy to manage. It is a bit more expensive but is worth every penny. Anyone who suffers from their hair being really damaged and you want to help the condition I would definitely recommend this.

And that is everything I have been loving throughout 2016! I hope you enjoyed the blog and see you soon!

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017

I got this blog idea from Zoella that she did a couple of years ago. It is a slightly different blog than usual, but I thought I would do something a little different. This year has gone so fast it’s crazy! I have achieved some things I am very pleased with. I have been on holiday to Tenerife, I have completed my NVQ level 2 in hairdressing, I have a new job, I spent a weekend in London going to all the attractions, and obviously started my own blog! I have wanted to do this for a while now and finally this year I have. I have enjoyed doing my blog so much and can’t wait for what the future holds. I have gone slightly out of my comfort zone which I am happy with. As well as learnt a few lessons along the way. 2016 was a good year for me I think.

This year I would definitely like to try out new things and expand my future. A couple of things I would love to do is buy a new car and possibly move out! I do still live with my parents and I am turning 20 the end of this year so I would like to have a place of my own. Also I have had my first car for just over 2 years now. I would definitely love to buy a Audi A3 but we will have to see. Another thing I would love to do is become more of an adult. Meaning dealing with my money well, cooking more food for myself and in general taking care of myself. I am very excited for 2017 and to see what opportunities it brings….

What I Got For Christmas 2016

have been very lucky this year for Christmas and I thought I would share with you guys what I got for Christmas (as I love reading these blogs myself). I thought I would also share with you guys what I got in my Feel Unique beauty calendar.

Make Up:
I love getting make up for Christmas. My mum and dad got me the Hoola bronzer, Rockateur blush, Benefit eyeshadow in Bikini Tini, Beauty Blender, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, Anastasia Brow Wiz, Too Faced Sweetheart blush and Real Techniques Core Collection . Casey (my boyfriend) got me Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette, a set of Ted Baker lipstick and nail polish. As well as a bottle that has nail polishes in.

Clothes:
Whenever someone asks me what I want for Christmas I always say clothes, a girl can never have enough clothes in their wardrobe (unless its overflowing of course). My mum and dad got me some clothes from New Look (I haven’t put all the clothes in the picture because I couldn’t fit them all in), and Casey got me my much loved Joni Jeans but in black.

Pamper Bath and Body Products:
Bath and body products are always a must for me at Christmas. My mum and dad got me a ted baker set with a perfume, body wash and body lotion, Pink Peppermint Candy Swirl Body Butter (smells amazing) which also comes with some cosy socks. Casey got me a Soap & Glory set which I love and a Ted Baker Soap (it’s actually surprisingly heavy).

Jewellery:
I always get jewellery for my birthday and Christmas and I love it. My mum and dad got me a heart-shaped necklace. Casey got me some rose gold earrings from Pandora which I am in love with.

Fiorelli Handbag:
My dad was so kind enough to get a handbag. When dad was getting mum’s present in Debenhams I said that I liked the bag and he actually got it for me which is so lovely.

BuyAGift:
My mum and dad was so lovely and bought me a Two Night Hotel Break from a wide range of venues in the UK and Europe. So me and Casey may go on a little break somewhere in February.

Other bits and bobs:
My mum and dad got me the Friends box set, ThisWorks Dream to Sleep set, Faux Fur Slippers, Cosy Socks, Gloves and a little sign that says ‘all guest must be approved by the dog!’. My brother got me a little trinket box that is engraved and got photos on the side. Casey also got me a cute little Me to You Elf Bear because he knows I love Me to You.

I have never had a beauty calendar before so I was very excited to have one this year. I decided to chose the Feel Unique advent calendar because it wasn’t crazy expensive and seemed to have some really good products in there.

In the beauty calendar I received Roger & Gallet Gentle Shower Cream, Decleor BB Cream 24hr Moisture Activator, Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Lotion, Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm, Olehenriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask, Balance Me Instant Lift Pore Minimiser, Nuxe Ultra-Nourishng Lip Balm, Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey, Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick in Best of the Best, Popband Santa Baby Has ties, Bourjois Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow in Originale and Pur Correcting Primer.

When I bought this beauty calendar I received a 10% OFF when I buy something I received in the beauty calendar which I think is really cool. Therefore, I do plan on buying a full size of the Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm, just because I loved how it made my hair feel and look (also some of the other products I really liked was already full size).

Christmas Baking

I thought I would do some Christmas baking today as I was in the mood to do so. I like baking to be quite quick and easy so I have used a cupcake ready mix. I would definitely like to get into the habit of baking from scratch but that will be in the future.

I started of by pre-heat my oven to 180 degrees celsius/gas mark 4 and placing my Christmas cupcake cases into the baking tray. I poured the cupcake mix into a bowl with 1 medium egg and 60ml of semi-skimmed milk and whisked it together. Once it was all mixed up I placed it in the cupcake cases and put them in to oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. After they were ready to take out of the oven I let them cool down while I got the icing ready in a piping bag. It felt like it took the cupcakes ages to cool down but once they had I started to pipe the icing on top. Finally, adding sprinkle and little decorations to the top (I especially love the mini tree’s) the cupcake’s were finished! They were really quick and easy to do, as well as tasting amazing!

Festive Make up Look

img_1196

As Christmas is just round the corner it is only just to right to do a festive make up look. I am going to start off my applying my Body Shop InstaBlur and apply my Bourjois City Radiance Foundation with my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge. I will then put some of my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to hide my dark under eye circle’s. To highlight under my eyes I am going to use my Naked Skin Concealer, again blending that out with my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge. I will powder under my eye’s with my E.L.F. Under Eye Powder to set my concealer and help highlight my under eye’s. I will contour using my Sleek Contouring and Blush Palette. The brush I am going to use to contour is my E.L.F. Small Tapered Brush. For Blush I am going to use my Sleek Blush in ‘Pomegranate’ applying that with my Real Techniques Blush Brush. I am going to bronze by face up a little as it is winter and everyone is a little more pale. I am going to use my Body Shop Honey Bronze in ’05’. Finally for my face I want to have a suttle highlight so I am going to use the highlight out of my Sleek Contouring and Blush Palette.

On my brow’s I am going to define them with my Soap & Glory 2in1 Pencil and Brush. Then, I will fill them in with my Sleek Brow kit and set them in place with my Benefit Gimme Brow. For my eye’s I want to keep it very simple so I am going to apply my Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my eyelid and set that with ‘Strange’ from my Naked 3 Palette. I want it to be quite orange/brown as it will help to make my eye’s look even more blue. Therefore, I am actually going to use my Body Shop Honey Bronzer to blend through my crease. It’s a perfect brown/orange shade. From the same Naked 3 palette I am going to take ’Nooner’ and blend that through my crease as well. All over my lid I am going to use ‘Limit’ and highlight my inner corner of my eye with ‘Strange’. To finish off my eye’s I will curl my eyelashes and use my Benefit They’re Real mascara.

image

Onto my lips, I am going to line my lip’s with my Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in ‘Red Diva’. Once I have liner my lips I am going to apply my Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in ’01’. This colour is a gorgeous classic red and perfect for christmas time.

Finally I am going to set my face with the Urban Day All Nighter Setting Spray so my make up last’s.

December GlossyBox

This month’s Glossybox was in partnership with a charity called ‘Give and Makeup’. The information charity card say’s ‘Women who have fled domestic violence arrive in shelters with hope for their future but not much else. Give and Makeup can help you help them and put everyday essentials into the hands of women who need them the most.’ I will have a picture of the details so if you would like to send them anything than you can. Glossybox have also put in a gift thing and a 20% off everything at Miss Guided which is brilliant. Thank you very much. I really liked this month’s Glossybox. I think there is a good range of products and all of the products are full size, which is amazing.

MDMFlow Semi-Matte Lipstick in Vamp:
I haven’t heard of this brand before but the packaging is cool, its like a bullet. I have tried it on once and I really like the formula as well as the colour. The information card says ‘The range of lipsticks and mascaras is inspired by hip hop and formulated using the latest colour and skincare technology, meaning it feels as good as it looks.’ This is a full size product and retails for £18.

Essence Light Up Your Face Luminizer Palette:
I have used this brand before and really like it. I’m not a massive fan of the nude highlight (left) and golden beige highlight (right) colour but I do really like the rose highlighter (middle) colour. I will definitely try all the colours out though. The information card say’s ‘Each of the three powders have varying degrees of highlight, from a light pearl to a golden glow, giving you the versatility to go from day to night.’ Again a full size product which retails for £3, which is really good.

img_1449Collection Cosmetics Define & Perfect Eyebrows Powder:
I really like this brand so was excited to try something new out. I have used it once and its so cool. The applicator is as if it’s a liquid but its not, it’s a powder and it looks so natural on my eyebrows. The information card says ‘This powder contains tiny fibres to add instant volume to brows and the fine-tipped nib allows you to create natural hair-like strokes.’ This is also a full size product and retails for £4.19 which again is really good.

img_1450Lipcote:
I haven’t heard of anything like this before so I was very intrigued by it. I quickly used it once and it kind of stings my lips a little and once it dries I can 100% feel it on my lips, which I don’t really like it. The information card says ‘Lipcote is the seventy-year-old all-natural lipstick sealer that is still unbeatable at keeping lipstick fresh, despite cocktail-fuelled Christmas cheer.’ Again a full size product which retails for £3.99.

img_1451Revlon Nail Enamel in Valentine:
I do really like this brand and have tried their nail varnishes before and I really like them. I think a red shade is perfect for Christmas time. The information card says ‘Revlon nail colours are iconic and deliver an ultra smooth, ultra glossy finish. It isn’t just chip resistant, its chip defiant so you can admire 10 days of lasting colour and shine.’ Finally, this product is full size and retails for £6.49.
