Hi guys! I have heard a lot about beauty subscription boxes and I have been interested in them for a while now. So, I thought I would subscribe to one. I choose Glossybox because I have heard quite a lot about them and it’s only £10 a month. I was really excited when the box was delivered in the mail, and I was very impressed by how much effort and care was taken into packaging up the box. The following are the things I received in my Glossybox this month.
Glossybox Zip-up Bag:
A girl can never have too many make-up bags. I always love when you buy a set of products and it comes with a make-up bag. I find them so handy, especially in your handbag. The retail price for this is £20. On the information card that comes with the box it says ’The monogrammed clutches, totes and baskets have graced the arms of Poppy Delevingne. Join the jet set with this mini monogrammed pochette, which has been exclusively designed for Glossybox to celebrate our birthday’.
MakeUp Academy Eyeshadow Palette:
I have never actually tried any make up form this brand before but, I was very surprised. I did some swatches of a few of the shades and they are so pigmented. I’m definitely going to be using this palette and this product was a full size. The retail price for this product is £4. The information card says ‘Each one is highly pigmented, offering twelve on trend eye colours that you can mix, match and blend in numerous ways to create any look you want’.
MudMasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask:
I was very excited when I saw this product as I am looking for a new face mask. I did put a little bit on the back of my hand and it feels really nice and not drying at all. I will be trying out this product and seeing how I get on with it. This product is a tester size, but the full size retails for £53 which I thought was quite expensive. Therefore, I do have high expectations for this product. The information card says the following ‘It’s formulated using all-natural ingredients and contains no parabens, but still managers to throughly detoxify skin. It doesn’t stop there though, it also refines and tightens pores, hydrates, brightens and smooths skin and generally gives it a boost’.
Spa To You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush and Massager:
I was intrigued by this product at first because I thought it would be quite similar to my clarasonic. However, when I took it out of the packaging it was just a normal brush, nothing special. I’m not too excited for this brush but I will still give it a go. Again, this product is the full size and retails for £6.99. The information card says ‘The soft bristles are specially designed to help buff away dead skin cells for a deep but gentle facial cleanse. The combination of silky soft bristles and silicone cushions also help to massage the skin to improve microcirculation for renewal radiance’.
Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion:
I always love trying out new products and I have never heard of this brand before so I really wanted to try it out. I did try a little bit out on the back of my and and it feels really nice. In the bottle there isn’t much of a smell to it. However, on the back of my hand it’s very fresh smelling but not too over powering. The smell reminds me of christmas with all the dried fruit as decorations. This is a tester size, and the full size retails for £20. Again, the information card says the following ‘As well as giving you an energy buzz with its boosting blends of Lemongrass, Ginger and Rosemary, this luxe body lotion deeply moisturises skin with Shea and Cocoa Butters’.
